The Builder System - Sequacious - 07-10-2018

- A player may obtain the Builder rank by creating a build that is of good quality, and then having that build reviewed via petition. /build submit
- The build itself must be nicely designed, using a variety of blocks, shapes and details.
- The player submitting the build must be at least Member. The Member rank is obtained by using the ‘/check’ command after playing on Matecraft for 1 or more hours.
- Under any circumstances, NO pixelart is accepted for Builder.
- If more than one player is working on a Builder project, the build must be of exceptional quality to be considered for approval.
- Build MUST be on the Creative server.

- Designer is the next step up from BuilderX, for those who want to test the versatility and adaptability of their building skill.
- BuilderX must be earned BEFORE Designer Tier 1. The same build may not be used for both ranks.
- These Tiers cannot be skipped, and have to be completed in the set order.
- Any Designer Build submitted is expected to be of, no less than, BuilderX quality. Anything less will require reworking and resubmission.

Below is an explanation of the tier system for Designers:
DesignerI [⚒ⅩⅠ] - Build Style: Fantasy / Science Fantasy / Science Fiction
- The faculty or activity of imagining impossible or improbable things. - Typical Build Styles: Elven, Dwarven, Orcish e.t.c

DesignerII [⚒ⅩⅠⅠ] - Build Style: SteamPunk
- A genre of science fiction that has a historical setting and typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology.

DesignerIII [⚒ⅩⅠⅠⅠ] - Build Style: Traditional Asian Architecture
- Chinese architecture demonstrates an architectural style that developed over millennia in China, before spreading out to influence architecture throughout East Asia. Since the solidification of the style in the early imperial period, the structural principles of Chinese architecture have remained largely unchanged, the main changes being only the decorative details.

DesignerIV [⚒ⅩⅠⅤ] - Build Style: Futuristic

DesignerV [⚒ⅩⅤ] - 3 Styles
- Build Style: Modern Architecture
- Modern architecture, or modernist architecture, was an architectural style based upon new and innovative technologies of construction, particularly the use of glass, steel, and reinforced concrete; the idea that form should follow function (functionalism); an embrace of minimalism; and a rejection of ornament.

- Build Style: Post-Modern Architecture
- Postmodern architecture is a style or movement which emerged in the 1960s as a reaction against the austerity, formality, and lack of variety of modern architecture.

- Build Style: Contemporary Architecture
- Contemporary architecture is the architecture of the 21st century. No single style is dominant; contemporary architects are working in several different styles, from postmodernism and high-tech architecture to highly conceptual and expressive forms and designs, resembling sculpture on an enormous scale.

WorldShaper: +
- WorldShaper is a complimentary tag given to those individuals who have had a build used as part of an official server project and who have not yet earned Architect. [Does not include minigame map submissions]
- The one prerequisite of the WorldShaper tag is that the player must have already earned Designer Tier 5 [or Builder Tier 15 if you prefer].
- If you have had a build used as part of an official server project before hitting Designer Tier 5, you are still eligible for WorldShaper as soon as you become DV.
- This tag replaces the standard Builder/Designer Tag on Creative and grants access to the global ‘WorldShaper’ tag in /tags.

Architects are responsible for heading projects for Matecraft and have main design control over the projects.
Architects are able to 'recruit' BuilderX's and WorldShapers to help with server projects.
